In today’s edition of Dumb Ass Criminals, a young wannabe rapper from Virgina has gotten himself arrested for murder because he bragged about the killing in a music video (no need for an informant when the suspect snitches on himself).

The Huffington Post reports:

Antwain Donta Steward, an up-and-coming rapper from Newport News, Va., was recently arrested and charged in a pair of cold case murders from 2007. The new lead in the years-old double homicide may have been Steward’s own lyrics, according to court documents described by local news site Daily Press.

Of particular interest to police was the song “Hip Full of Gun” by Steward aka Twain Gotti, which describes Steward killing someone. The song’s video, posted to YouTube in 2011, also includes footage of him playing a violent video game. Police reprinted some of the lyrics from the song in their affidavit, according to the Daily Press:

“Everybody saw when I [expletive] choked him. But nobody saw when I [expletive] smoked him, roped him, sharpened up the shank then I poked him … had me crackin up so I joked him, it is betweezy six feet ova, told ya [expletive] with my money I’ll roast ya.”

Steward was previously arrested in 2011 in connection with a non-fatal drive-by shooting, local NBC affiliate WAVY reports. He is currently in the Newport News City Jail and charged with two counts of felony murder, one count of unlawfully discharging a firearm and two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, according to the jail’s information service.

Steward is being held without bond. His next court date is set for Oct. 2.
