Warren Sapp’s Windermere, Fl mansion may soon go to auction. Sapp’s 15,600 square foot mansion was listed by a bankruptcy court for $3.77 million. If the Orlando area mansion hasn’t sold by November 1st it will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. The home was built in 2005 for close to $7 million, and includes 4 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, a wine cellar, library, game room, home theatre, and 4 car garage. The Orlando Sentinel reports:

“Fisher Auction Co. of Pompano Beach will handle the auction, which is scheduled to take place at 11 a.m. at the Orlando Airport Marriott on Augusta National Drive near Orlando International Airport.”

“The former star for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers told the Tampa Tribune that he filed for bankruptcy to avoid jail time.”

“Do you think I wanted to declare bankruptcy?” he said to reporters. “Do you think, if there was any other way possible, I would have done it? It was either this or go to jail.”

“Sapp had plans during the home-buying frenzy to build a low-income housing project in Fort Pierce, but the market soured after he had invested in the deal. Because of the debt, his NFL earnings were garnished for 11 months and his bills went unpaid.”
