(Gossip-Grind News) Is Usher Jealous Of Justin Bieber’s Success?

The world has Usher Raymond IV to thank for discovering and signing Justin Bieber when he was just 13-years-old and no one could have predicted the Canadian singer’s success — not even Usher.

According to a source close to the “Scream” singer, Usher never thought in a million years his protégé would surpass him in success and net worth.

“It’s not like Usher is upset at Justin’s success, but it’s sort of stuck in his head that Bieber is more famous right now than he is and makes more money,” an insider exclusively told Dish Nation.

“Justin plays to sold out arenas and he’s just a 20-year-old kid who Usher feels is ungrateful at times. Meanwhile, Usher is on tour and is lucky to play a sold-out show.”

Reports have put Usher’s net worth at approximately $180 million (nothing to cry about!) while Bieber’s is slightly higher at $200 million.

“I saw a future of an artist that was very bright based off of his passion,” Usher told Oprah Winfrey in 2012 about Bieber.

“He was passionate. I saw the potential of success. It was really all left to him…he has the talent, he has the know-how and he also has an incredible mentor.”

The insider tells Dish that Usher loves being a mentor and he’ll continue to do whatever he can to support Bieber.

“Does it make Usher a little insecure that his protégé is more successful right now? Sure. That’s natural. So Usher does have a sense of urgency to keep himself relevant,” the source dished.

“He really enjoyed mentoring on The Voice and hopes he gets a chance to go back and continue with similar gigs. Opportunities are thrown at Bieber every day and Usher just wants to make sure he solidifies himself as a fixture in the industry.”

Usher has stayed massively supportive of Bieber, even through the troubles singer’s numerous incidents’ with the law.

“I think the story is just begun, you’ve not seen the best of his talent. In life, you have to go through something to get to something,” the 36-year-old told the UK’s The Guardian newspaper.

“From that the inspiration comes having something of substance to talk about; otherwise you’re just considered to be fluff.”
