After weeks of speculation, it has been confirmed that Nicki Minaj will be joining American Idol as a judge alongside Mariah Carey, Keith Urban, and original Idol judge Randy Jackson. Nicki signed a one year contract for $8 million ($10 million less than Mariah Carey). Ryan Seacrest announced the new judges via Twitter this morning.
