(Gossip-Grind) Bishop Eddie Long Dead At 63:
Controversial megachurch leader Bishop Eddie Long has died at age 63, his New Birth Missionary Baptist Church said. Long made his last public appearance two weeks ago, the senior pastor had lost a significant amount of weight, adding fuel to the rumors of his declining health.
Long died after a battle with an aggressive form of cancer, according to a statement by the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church first obtained by CNN affiliate WGCL.
“Although his transition leaves a void for those of us who loved him dearly, we can celebrate and be happy for him, knowing he’s at peace,” his wife Vanessa Long said in the statement.(CNN)
He is survived by his wife, First Lady Elder Vanessa Long, four children: Eric, Edward, Jared and Taylor; and three grandchildren.
