Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson 2-year-old son has passed away, after being beaten to death by his mother’s boyfriend.
According to law enforcement, emergency responders arrived to the apartment where Peterson’s son was living at 5:46 PM on Wednesday … and found the child unresponsive.
The incident occurred in Joseph Patterson’s apartment, where the boy had recently moved with his mother. Patterson called 911 on Wednesday evening to report a choking at the Platinum Valley apartment, but Lt. Blaine Larsen of the Sioux Falls Police Department said it became clear at the hospital that the boy’s injuries were not accidental.
In fact, “The injuries they found were head injuries,” Clemens said. “It was obvious to medical staff that abuse had taken place and that those injuries weren’t accidental.”
The suspect, 27-year-old Joseph Patterson … who’s been charged with aggravated felony assault and battery of an infant is now facing murder charges.
His father released a statement thanking the fans and asking that the public respect his privacy during this time:
“I really appreciate all the support that I’ve been receiving from fans, the Vikings organization,” said Peterson, who was excused to miss Thursday’s Vikings practice before returning Friday. “This is a private matter and I would ask you all to please just respect my privacy and not ask at all about the situation at hand.”
A damn shame…ladies you really need to do a thorough back ground check on these dudes now and days before leaving your children in their care. This shit don’t make no sense…
