Teenaged rap star Chief Keef was released from a Chicago juvenile detention center today.
“Keef, whose real name is Keith Cozart, served a 60-day sentence on a probation violation. He was on probation for pointing a gun at police officers in 2011 and violated the terms by holding a gun during a video shoot with Pitchfork Media. Cozart celebrated his release by releasing alink to a new music video — obviously made before his incarceration. But it also didn’t take long for more controversy to brew. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, police are concerned about a posting on Cozart’s Facebook page Thursday that taunted a street gang over a 2011 murder, however the posting appears to have been removed.” (NBC Chicago)
