Rick Ross recently announced that he has signed his Maybach Music Group imprint to Atlantic Records. Ross himself is still signed to Def Jam, but will release future projects from Wale, Meek Mill and Omarion on Atlantic.
Ross’ nemesis Young Jeezy also signed his label CTE World (minus Freddie Gibbs) to Atlantic. We saw this move coming months ago when they named him Senior Vice President of A&R. Like Ross, Jeezy remains signed to Def Jam as a solo artist.
I can only imagine what the Atlantic Records Christmas party is gonna be like.
