(Gossip-Grind News) Matt Barnes Attacked Derek Fisher For Dating Estranged Wife Gloria Govan:

Memphis Grizzlies forward Matt Barnes reportedly drove 95 miles from Santa Barbara to the Los Angeles home of his estranged wife Gloria Govan on Saturday after learning that his former teammate, and Knicks coach was there.

The 6-foot-7 Barnes, who now plays for the Memphis Grizzlies, made a fast break from his team’s California training camp Saturday when he was tipped off that Fisher was making time with sultry “Basketball Wives LA” star Gloria Govan in the home Barnes once shared with her.
The NBA is investigating the brawl.
Sources told The Post that Barnes became incensed when his 6-year-old twin sons, Carter and Isaiah, called to tell him that Fisher was at the house.
“Barnes went crazy. He got in his car and went to the house and went after Fisher,” one source said. “Matt then drove down there to beat the s–t out of him.”
Fisher and Barnes were teammates on the LA Lakers for two seasons.
Barnes — a forward who’s known as an “enforcer” for his aggressive style of play — found Fisher, Govan and about 10 other people around a bonfire in the back yard, sources said.
A fight erupted at 11:45 p.m. between the 235-pound Barnes and the 6-1, 200-pound Fisher. Cops were called, but Fisher left before they arrived, the sources said.
Following the dustup, Barnes, 35, texted a pal that he had not only assaulted Fisher, 41, but also took revenge on Govan, one source said.
“I kicked his ass from the back yard to the front room, and spit in her face,” the text read, according to the source. (NY Post)

The Knicks had Sunday off, Fisher missed the practice on Monday because of travel problems, the team said. Fisher who filed for divorce from his wife of 10 years, Candace, in March, is reportedly in a relationship with Barnes’ ex-wife, Govan.

Fisher addressed the issue with his team, telling them:

“I wanted to make sure that before they were asked about it at least that they heard from me directly about my state of mind and how present I am,” Fisher said. “I’ve been through a lot in life and experienced a lot of things. And sometimes we go through things in life that we can or cannot control. I’m here, I’m focused. It’s not something that’s going to take me away from who we are and what we’re trying to do. And I assured them of that. The only way to do that is to go out and do your job, and that’s what we’re going to do tonight.”
