R&B diva Mariah Carey has secured her $225 million fortune in the wake of her marital woes with husband Nick Cannon.

But her legal team also ensured that the “America’s Got Talent” host never speak out in a negative fashion against his wife if they split – or he’ll face paying her millions of dollars.

Dish Nation has learned that Mariah and Nick’s pre-nup safeguards both personal fortunes, but her legal team locked in a “don’t kiss and tell clause” to stop either one of them from talking about one another.

However, the mega pop star has ensured that Nick will have to give up a cut of his $20 million fortune if he shoots her down in public.

Insiders claim an official announcement about their marital split will be confirmed soon.

Nick was seen out and about without his wedding ring lately and he and Mariah – parents of twins Monroe and Moroccan – have been living separately since June.

A source close to Nick confirmed: “Nick and Mariah have all the legal paperwork in place. Both will not have to give away their fortunes and they’ll split their assets very easily without a huge legal battle.”

“The one clause that’s a problem is that he must not speak about Mariah or kiss and tell. If he does Mariah can come after him legally.”

“Mariah has always tried to control what’s released about her personal life. Nick on the other hand is a much more open book and could face troubles if he lets anything slip.”

Musician friends of Mariah say that her “jealous temper” and “demanding diva nature” was the driving forces behind their troubles.

Mariah has accused Nick several times of being unfaithful and even publicly called him “difficult” to live with.
